Lost Car Keys — FAQ
Do you really come out the same day if I have no keys at all?
Yes. The all-keys-lost workflow is what we do. We just need photo ID, the title or registration showing you own the vehicle, the VIN (visible at the lower-left corner of the windshield), and access to the vehicle. We bring everything else.
Is it cheaper than the dealer?
Almost always. A dealer key for a 2018+ vehicle commonly runs $400–$1,200 plus a tow ($75–$250). Mobile replacement at the curb runs $220–$650 depending on key type, with no tow. Per AAA roadside cost benchmarks, eliminating the tow alone saves $100–$250 on a typical job.
What if my car has the proximity / push-to-start smart key?
Same workflow. We program both flip-blade transponder keys and smart proximity keys. Smart keys cost more in parts ($120–$350 vs $35–$80 for a basic transponder) but the labor and on-site programming are the same.
Are you NASTF-registered?
Yes. NASTF Vehicle Security Professional (VSP) registration is what authorizes a locksmith to pull manufacturer security data from the OEM portals. Without it, immobilizer programming on most 2008+ vehicles cannot be done legitimately.
Locked out or lost your keys? We can be there in 20–45 minutes.
VIN-based flat-rate quote in writing before we dispatch. No surprises at the curb.
