Car Lockout — FAQ
Will you scratch my paint or break the weatherstrip?
No. Professional wedge-and-rod entry is the industry standard taught at ALOA training. The wedge expands the door corner by a few millimeters — well within the tolerance of factory weatherstrip — and the rod manipulates the interior lock button.
I locked my kid / pet inside the car — is that an emergency?
Yes — and you should call 911 first. Arlington PD and AFD will respond and can break a window to extract a child or animal in distress. We are typically the second call once the emergency is contained, and we re-secure or rekey the vehicle.
My key is in the trunk and the trunk is locked — can you help?
Yes. Modern vehicles route trunk access through the doors first. We unlock the cabin, then either retrieve from the cabin or use the trunk-release lever / electronic switch.
How much does a lockout cost at 2 AM vs 2 PM?
We do not charge a midnight surcharge. The $65–$140 range covers the full 24-hour window. What changes is response time — overnight we are usually a single-tech operation, so the ETA can be longer.
